Head On – 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY SCREENING @ MQFF

Head On depicts the Greek Australian teen pushing back against parental expectation, class boundaries and ethnic stereotypes in a self-destructive, sure, but take no prisoners break for freedom.
The 33rd annual Festival is jam-packed with queer films screening across Melbourne from 9–19 November. The film program features a number of classic film titles this year, including Anna Kokkinos’s HEAD ON, starring Alex Dimitriades.
MQFF are thrilled to be presenting the 25th Anniversary screening of this iconic Melbourne film based on Christos Tsiolkas’s novel, LOADED.
